Reusable Cloth Wipes FAQs
How do I use Cloth Wipes?
Keep a tub or a mason jar on your change table and fill with Cloth Wipes (enough to last about 2-3 days). Wet the Cloth Wipes using our Cheeky Bits Cloth Wipe Solution. Place soiled wipes into a separate bin until they are ready for the wash.
Keep a 10-pack and spray bottle of Cheeky Bits Cloth Wipe Solution, along with a small wet bag for soiled wipes in the diaper bag so you're always prepared!
Do I need to rinse my Cloth Wipes to get the poop off before washing?
You shouldn't need to. With proper technique, you should be able to wipe most of the poop off with the diaper as you remove it, then use the Cloth Wipes to get what's left over. Poop is water soluble, so as long as your washing machine is doing its job, those wipes will come out clean and fresh!
How many Cloth Wipes do I need?
Typical usage will be about 1-2 wipes per diaper change, so a 30-pack should last a few days until you're ready to do laundry. Your mileage may vary.
Keep a 10-pack and spray bottle of Cheeky Bits Cloth Wipe Solution along with a small wet bag for soiled wipes in the diaper bag so you're always prepared!
Keep in mind that our Reusable cloth wipes are not just for diaper changes! They also make excellent napkins, hankies, baby wash cloths, glasses cleaner, and more... You may choose to have certain colours and/or patterns designated for specific tasks.
How do I care for my Cloth Wipes?
Wash before first use. Cloth Wipes will become more absorbent after a few washes.
Wash on warm or hot with like colours using your detergent of choice. Tumble or hang to dry. If necessary, loosen stains with a cold rinse prior to washing.
Don’t use fabric softener or dryer sheets as this will decrease absorbency of the fabric!
Will my Cloth Wipes shrink?
Like all fabrics made from natural fibres, expect some shrinkage and slight pilling.
Is it okay to wash with fabric softener or use dryer sheets?
No! Did you not read the care instructions?? Please don’t use fabric softener or dryer sheets as this will decrease absorbency of the fabric.
